Terms of use

Last updated 25 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Mohamad Khoder, trading as Hawkbolt (ABN 51 163 057 250) ("Hawkbolt", "we", "us") for using the Hawkbolt app at app.hawkbolt.com.au. By creating an account or using Hawkbolt, you agree to them.

1. Who can use Hawkbolt

  • Hawkbolt is for businesses and sole traders that quote for work in Australia.
  • You must be 18 or older and give us accurate details.
  • You're responsible for your account and for anyone you let use it, including team members you add.

2. What Hawkbolt does

Hawkbolt helps you measure jobs, price them from your own rates, and send quotes to your clients. We're improving it all the time, so features may change. We aim to keep it running smoothly but can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. You need an internet connection to use it.

3. Your quotes are your responsibility

  • You set your rates, products, margins and terms. Hawkbolt calculates quotes from what you enter.
  • Check every quote before you send it, including measurements, quantities, prices and wording.
  • You're responsible for meeting the laws that apply to your quotes and work, such as licensing, home building contract and deposit rules, GST, and the Australian Consumer Law. Hawkbolt's wording is a starting point, not legal advice.
  • The agreement for the work is between you and your client. Hawkbolt isn't a party to it.

4. AI features

The AI features suggest rooms, measurements, surfaces and wording from what you tell them. Suggestions can be wrong or incomplete, and anything the AI guessed is marked. You must review AI suggestions before using them in a quote.

5. Your clients' information

You're responsible for having your clients' permission to enter their details into Hawkbolt and for meeting your own privacy obligations to them. You authorise us to store and handle that information to provide the service, as described in our privacy policy.

6. Fair use

You agree not to:

  • use Hawkbolt for anything unlawful, misleading or deceptive, or to send spam;
  • try to get into accounts or data that aren't yours, or test, break or get around our security;
  • copy, resell or reverse-engineer Hawkbolt, or overload it with automated requests.

7. Plans and payment

  • While paid plans are being set up, the Free plan has no limit on sent quotes. When paid plans launch, it becomes 3 sent quotes each calendar month (Sydney time), with unlimited drafts, and we'll tell you before that starts.
  • Paid plans and quote packs will be available soon at the prices on our website. Prices in AUD.
  • Paid plans renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel any time, and your plan continues to the end of the period you've paid for.
  • Except where the law requires, we don't refund part-used periods or unused quote pack quotes.
  • Quote pack quotes don't expire while your account is open.
  • Founding price: the first 100 founding subscribers get Solo for $19 a month or $190 a year, for as long as they stay continuously subscribed. If the subscription ends, the founding price ends.
  • We'll give you at least 30 days' notice before changing the price of a plan you're on.

8. Your content and ours

Your quotes, rates, logo and other content stay yours. You give us permission to store, process and display them only as needed to run Hawkbolt for you, including showing quotes to the clients you send them to. Hawkbolt itself (the software, name, logo and design) belongs to us. If you send us feedback, we can use it to improve Hawkbolt.

9. Ending your account

  • You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings, then Account, then Delete account). This deletes your business, quotes and client details, and your clients' quote links stop working.
  • Copy anything you want to keep before you delete your account.
  • We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or if we have to by law. Where reasonable, we'll tell you first.
  • If we ever stop offering Hawkbolt, we'll give you reasonable notice.

10. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded. Where the law lets us limit our liability for failing to meet a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.

11. Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows:

  • we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, data or jobs;
  • we aren't liable for loss caused by quotes you sent without checking, including errors in AI suggestions or in what you entered;
  • our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if you haven't paid us anything.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with a new date, and tell you in the app or by email before significant changes take effect. If you keep using Hawkbolt after that, the new terms apply.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you and we submit to the courts of New South Wales.
